Yeah. I've been wondering for a while what causes that.
We all came back from the City, and at the same time, most of my siblings vanished. Apparently the Porter gives and it takes.
[ Luther can't really explain what made him blurt that out. It's not like KO is inviting confessional or an unburdening or suddenly being this disaster's confidante, and this doesn't feel like a confessional besides. But it feels relevant, and it's on his mind, and so it comes out. ]
Perhaps all realities are inherently faulty in some way.
[ The admission is unexpected and unwarranted, and one Knock Out isn't sure what to do with. Offer sympathy? He's as skilled as anyone at faking that. ]
I'm sorry that the rest of them are gone -- unless you prefer them gone, in which case, uh, rescind that.
Doesn't the Porter kinda make you do it? Sorry, I might've just assumed-- I know a dragon here, and he's got a human form. I volunteer at SELF sometimes. Hear a lot from people trying to blend in or struggling to adjust to the amenities in this world.
[ Which is as close as Knock Out is ever likely to get to saying he's lonely for the company of his own kind among the imPorts. ]
Yes, the Porter forces a human form on those it deems outside its "normal" parameters. I've been forced into it exactly once - against my will - during my arrival. Primus willing I never have to go through it again. I am perfectly content to not "blend in" if that's the cost.

Sorry to hear that, Knock-Out. Ours is in the middle of being destroyed, too. Not sure what'll be waiting for me if/when I go back.
Have you ever been sent back?

A depressingly common scenario, I've been finding through talking with imPorts. Who knew?
No... I've been here consistently for the past year. Others seem to Port in and out a fair bit.

It does appear to. Are you close with them?

Has there been anyone here from your home world? You're the only... mech(?) I've met here.

Mech is correct, yes.
There have been several, though the majority seem to have been a few years ago. The last one besides myself Ported out back in September.

Must be a pain, having to transform down to our size to get around at scale.

Who said anything about changing size?
I CAN EDIT if that was too much of a reach/assumption for him to guess!

[ Luther, you're apologising again. ]
no you're good!

I'll probably see you around the reserves, one of the next few patrols?
