[He won't admit he laughed.] I would probably be the best candidate for it. For the record, he can't change anyone anyway. Apparently, he's a Beta, and that's strictly an Alpha's job.

What the hell kind of weird rules are those?

Alphas and betas are an outdated and inaccurate understanding of wolf pack hierarchies, anyway. It only applies to wolves in captivity.

[ Nerrrrd. And yet, despite the inaccuracy, it isn't too far-off from how Hargreeves' pack and their power dynamics wound up shaking out, anyway. Even in the numbering, it was clear who the assigned alpha and beta had been, and even Vanya the runt of the litter.

I don't know, that's just what he said. Made sense to me. [Probably because he wasn't overthinking it, like a nerd.] I don't think being werewolf has much to do with actual wolves in the wild, Luther.

One might argue that you're trying to generalize too much. [A joke for a joke, sir.] Derek. I know a hell of a lot more about him than you'd expect for a guy I've talked to all of about twice. Pretty chatty. But not in an annoying or obnoxious way. [Otherwise, Diego wouldn't be dealing with him, probably at all. He doesn't handle annoying or obnoxioius well. Just ask Klaus. buh-dum-tsh.]

Okay, true.
But still. It's kind of weird? I'd be way more paranoid about telling people things about how my entire werewolf physiology worked.

So he told you weaknesses, too? Does silver work?

[ Not asking because Luther's especially looking to take the guy down, but because he's curious. Because Diego's right. If any of them had a particular Achilles' heel when it came to their physiology, they sure wouldn't tell it to a stranger. ]

Not weaknesses, per se. But he did mention some things. Like the fact that blood lust is definitely a real thing for them. And there's a literal strength to be gained in him having a pack. And it doesn't have to specifically be a pack of other werewolves, either. Apparently, if he decides he's close enough to someone then...same rules apply. He also told me how Alphas are made. I'm telling you, dude got super chatty.
