FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Visible Age: Late 20s / early 30s
Height: 6’5”
Physique: Big. Weirdly, disproportionately big. He was a strapping, muscular guy even before he got dosed with ape DNA, but the serum gave him a broad hulking torso and shoulders and the strength to match. ~~He tends to wear baggy shapeless clothing to hide that physique, though.~~ He’s gotten better about getting clothing custom-tailored for his shape, but he still wears gloves, long sleeves, and high necks as much as possible, never showing bare skin.
Hair: Dark blond, kept short. His chest and arms are also unnaturally hairy thanks to his augmentation, so he hides them under layers of clothing.
Eyes: Blue
Defining Marks: Tattoo of a black umbrella on his left forearm. Also, did we mention that he’s half-ape?
Accent/Speech: Blandly unaccented American. Low, gruff and level voice.
Bearing/Demeanor: Oddly timid and clumsy, as if he’s uncomfortable in his own skin and trying to occupy less space than he actually does. He keeps bumping into things.
Gait: Good posture, ramrod-straight, never quite looks like he’s fully relaxed. Kinda got a stick up his ass.

IC PERMISSIONS

Touching/hugging: Displays of affection were practically forbidden in their house, so he’s fairly rigid and standoffish, except for with his family members, sometimes. More recently, he’s pretty touch-starved and self-conscious about his body, so would be skittish but eventually find it really welcome tbh.
Kissing: Platonic kisses a-ok if you become friends. Romantic not unless y’all know each other real, real well.
Flirting: He would be so thrown and absolutely not know what to do with this, so yes please.
Shipping: His heart’s pretty tied down to another, so not at this moment.
Fighting: Yes pls!! Luther’s an experienced fighter and quick to get riled up, so he is ALL ABOUT the fights. Just be prepared for it to be rough, considering his size and super-strength.
Injuring: All for it, if discussed beforehand!
Killing: No thanks.
Telepathy/mind reading: Go for it! Luther will probably be extremely displeased about it, but it’s not like he’d have a say.

OOC PERMISSIONS

Backtagging: Super happy to backtag! I can be pretty slow during the work week, so my main writing time tends to be on weekends.
Threadhopping: Generally no, unless it’s an open network conversation or a casual mingle scene. Ask first! Exception: Other Hargreeves kids, who will probably wander in and out of each others’ scenes with impunity.
Fourthwalling: No thanks. Exception: Their in-canon comic books.
Offensive subjects / opt-out: For Luther: He has a sore spot about being called monstrous, or people being frightened/repulsed by his body once they’ve seen it. (Which is why he doesn’t let people see it.)

For me: None that I need warnings for, but for other people’s benefit: The Umbrella Academy is a fairly dark canon featuring characters who went through an emotionally abusive and disordered childhood in which the kids were basically child soldiers, and Luther in particular has a romantic attachment to his adoptive sister Allison that I know can be iffy. I won’t bring up that aspect in other people’s scenes unprompted, but if you’d prefer that I not tag you with him at all, please comment below!

The Umbrella Academy S2 is new as of July 31, 2020, so I’ll be doing my best not to ruin things for anyone who wants to remain unspoiled! Luther’s new canon point is pulled from the very end of Season 2, so please let me know what type of spoilers you are okay with by filling out the form below with something along these lines:

Concerned the barriers between worlds might break and merge this one with the others
If the barriers break down completely, Jacob says this world is definitely toast and it's unclear what would happen to the rest

If someone were to play double-agent at the OTO, they'd need good disguises - note: he really did not say no or try to advise against the idea at all (Diego thinks finding a shapeshifting ability among the displaced might be good if anything actually comes of this)
The Fates: Part of another world the imPorts lived in before. Atropos destroyed the last one and is seeking to do the same here.
