why stop at daddy issues, go big or go home, have family issues, be the family disappointment
INFORMATION
CHARACTER & CANON: Luther Hargreeves from The Umbrella Academy (Netflix), with some supplementary details from the comics. I'm up-to-date on all three Netflix seasons, vols 1-3 of the comics, and You Look Like Death.
CANON POINT FOR PSLS & MEMES: Variable. I'm happy to do anything set in seasons 1-2 or backstory or AUs. Season 3— let's discuss first.
BACKTAGGING: Always yes! I'm forever happy to continue a thread, esp since I can be perpetually slow.
PHYSICAL CONTACT: go for it, he's unaccustomed to casual affectionate touch but trying to get better about friendly claps on the shoulder etc
MENTAL CONTACT: go for it
FIGHTING/INJURY: Y E S. I mean, especially if you're Diego. Or any combination of the siblings fighting crime & supervillains together. Action & superpowered hijinks welcome.
SHIPPING:
GENRE INTERESTS: All the dysfunctional family feelings. Luther is a flawed character who internalised too much of their toxic father's upbringing and has a lot to work through, but he loves his siblings a lot a lot, and I adore digging into every permutation of relationship Luther has with them: the way he trusts and depends on Diego as his number two and himbo partner-in-crime; the way he must have tried to keep Klaus on the straight and narrow, and failed miserably; the contrasts between him and Five as the head and the fist and the most dissimilar twins, and yet they both suffered years of soul-breaking solitude; how he and Ben were the obedient soldiers, to the latter's downfall, and Luther blames himself for Ben's death; the issues he has to work through withVanya Viktor; and literally anything & everything with Allison, obv.
Genuinely toss me anything with this fam and I'm probably down with it, honestly. I'm all about the fam. I love writing missing scenes from canon or fleshing out backstory, and AUs/roads not taken: what if the Academy never dissolved; what if Luther left; what if the jump through time dropped them somewhere else; etc. Not keen on new characters being AUed into the Hargreeves family, but I would love cross-canon universe mashups with other superhero canons (The Boys, Doom Patrol, Marvel, etc).

✓ Slow-burn cross-canon, if there's chemistry. M/F more likely for him, and I write Luther as demisexual, so it takes him some time to be attracted to someone. (My secret cross-canon wishlist is Starlight from The Boys, somebody please feed this yearning for me!!)
